A Holy People

A Holy People

(The Liberation of Zion)

David Wilkerson

Do you understand what Zion means?

Do you understand the promises of Zion?

Zion has never been that little place called Jerusalem.

Zion always has been and always will be a holy people.

That’s what Zion means in the Bible.

All the prophets said,

“The Tabernacle will be built.

A house will be raised on the ruins of old Zion

(that physical Zion, David’s Zion of Jerusalem)

Out of that crumbling ruin God will build the house.

Jesus would come and He would be the builder.

It would be His house.

He would be the foundation stone.”

But Christ is a Son over His own house whose house are we

if we hold fast to confidence, rejoice and hope firm unto the end.

And we have a lot of Gentiles now trying to be physical Jews.

No.

There is only one.

And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed,

and heirs according to the promise.

Galations 3:29

There is only one heir and one seed, and that’s in Christ.

I’m telling you now that the temple of God, the tabernacle of God is already under construction.

It’s the tabernacle of God.

That’s the body of Jesus Christ which He is building.

Neither Jews, neither Gentiles, but in Christ

(Galations 3:28)

There is a house.

There is a temple being built.

Foundation’s already been laid.

The gates were in place.

The faith of apostles.

It’s already in place.

And He is building on it.

Thou shalt arise, [and] have mercy upon Zion:

for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalms 102:13

God look down through history.

He look down toward the end of time.

You know He started building that tabernacle, that last temple,

when Christ died on the cross, when He came.

That living foundation stone.

And He said, “We are His house being built together to the glory and honor and praise to the Lord.”

He is putting His house, but now we come to that set time when He favor Zion.

It’s a wonderful thing to be in that last day when it looked like it was going to ruin.

And God says, “The ruin is over. The decay will stop.”

The set time has come.

The Lord is ringing the last recall when God recalls His bride

who said, “I have turned away from you.

Because you are so polluted, you are laying in the dust,

I had to hide myself from you.

And last day I’m gonna have mercy on you.

I’m gonna recall you.”

He’s gonna recall His bride.

And He’s gonna have mercy on His bride, He said.

“Even though she is in pollution,

I am going to raise her up in Holiness.”

He’s gonna have a people rise up out of dust, recalling them.

Here comes the prophecy of liberation of Zion.

For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth.

Isaiah 62:1

“For Zion’s sake, I will not hold my peace.

I am not gonna give rest until I raise up a holy people in the last day,

a holy Zion. I am going to awaken a church.

I am gonna bring forth a people.”

And look at what it says,

… thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth.

Isaiah 62:1

And in the Hebrew it means, it says “as a blazing scorching torch”

He said, “I going to send a blazing torch.”

There is coming forth, and it’s now in the church.

You’ve never heard like you’ve heard it now.

You’re going to hear more and more of it.

God’s raising up men all over the United States and around the world

preaching a strong powerful burning torching message.

God’s gonna torch everything that’s unlike Jesus.

He’s gonna do it through the word, through the living powerful word of repentance and holiness.

Why is God bringing forth such a strong word these last days?

He said, “Is it not My word like fire?”

For the Lord God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

whose fire [is] in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

(Isaiah 31:9)

God’s right now turning up the heat.

I can feel Him doing right now while I’m preaching.

The Lord says, “I’m gonna turn up the heat because I have a people that are hungry. Those hungry people are gonna hear the word. I’m gonna burn out everything in their life that’s unlike Me. And I’m gonna raise up a church that’s holy and pure and sanctified.”

The Bible says, “Even the world is going to see the difference.”

And hte nation shall see.

That nation means the people.

And the people shall see.

thy tighteousness,

and thou salt be called by a new name,

which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Isaiah 62:2

“I’m gonna bring up a new people

with the new name.

I’m gonna name them by a new name.

I’m gonna have a holy people,

a new name people.”

You want to know the name.

Look at verse 12.

It’s right there black and white.

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD:

and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Isaiah 62:12

I hear from God as clear as I’ve ever heard.

“David, I’m gonna walk up and down these streets.

I’m gonna find every hungry heart, every repentant heart.

I’m gonna burn out sin.

And I am gonna up and down the land, in and out every nation.

As the Holy Spirit goes out,

He’s gonna find out every hungry heart.

I’m gonna search them, seek them out.

And they will not be called forsaken people any more.

I will call them sought out people.”

He searched and headed in and out.

He found you in some little dark dungeon of famine.

And God says, “Come on with Me.”

He put the fire and he put the torch to sin.

And your heart began to hunger and thirst after God.

You said,

“I have enough of this.

I want Jesus now.

I want to walk in holiness.

Lack of purity, I am sick of it.”

“I’m gonna become a master and husband.”

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah (meaning my delight is in her), and thy land Beulah (meaning I’m her owner, I’m her husband): for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Isaiah 62:4

God will take all these castaways, all these people who feel forsaken.

Because they’ve been seeking the Lord.

“I’ve got a people like you all over the world.

Don’t think you’re all alone.”

We are not alone, folks.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken or Desolate

thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah (meaning my delight is in her)

You know what’s having delight in you?

To look at you and say, “Ah, a man or woman after My heart.

“They may not be perfect, but he keeps coming, she keeps coming.”

coming to the light hungry and thirsting, not afraid of godly reproof

coming to the fire, letting the torch to burn it all out.

There is where My delight is.

That would be said in every church

where God is glorified in holiness and righteousness.

We’ve sinned.

And there is a confusion in this land.

But in this time of confusion that’s the very time God says,

“I’m gonna raise up a holy people. I am gonna raise up Zion.”

There are two streams flowing right now.

There’s one stream towards judgement.

There’s other stream going the other way toward The Bridegroom.

Going toward the precious Lord.

And when Daniel knew He fasted, he prayed

he put on sackcloth, and ashes. (Daniel 9:3)

That means he humbled himself.

That’s what we’ve got to do now.

That’s what the church of Jesus Christ must do.

Set time to bless Zion has come.

A holy people arise.

I want to be a part of it.

Does your heart burn in you tonight?

Does your heart burn?

Isn’t there something crying in you?

“If I’ve never walked in holiness before, I want to now.

Lord Jesus, if I’ve ever sought Your face I want to seek it now.”
