The Holy Spirit of Revelation

The Holy Spirit of Revelation

(The River of Life)

David Wilkerson

Ezekiel had a vision in which the hand of God picked him up and took him to a high mountain (Ezekiel 40:1-2). And there he saw a picture of a mighty city. It says He took him to the high mountain. It’s very significiant.

The hand of God picked him up and planted him on the high mountain. And there a man appeared to him. A man looked like his feet had been burnish brass (Ezekiel 40:3). The same man that John saw in the island of Patmos. He said He was there and His feet were like burnish brass (Revelation 1:15).

That’s none other than ‘Jesus Christ.’ Jesus Christ appeared to him and said,

“I’m gonna pick you on a trip.

I’m gonna show you a day that’s coming.

A day beyond anything, anyone could ever comprehend.”

This is the Lord bringing Ezekiel into the house of God.

That house of God on the mountain represents Jesus Christ. A house that we are. We are His building. He’s building this house. The vision about Jesus, this vision’s specially focused on Jesus. And it’s about an outpouring of the Holy Ghost in the last days.

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward for the forefront of the house stood toward the east and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Ezekiel 47:1

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

Ezekiel 47:6

Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

Ezekiel 47:7

Now the spring and the fountain ahead of this river is ‘the Cross of Jesus’.

But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced soildiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there there out blood and water.

John 19:34

That’s where the river began. The blood cleanses. The water flows to heal and bring life to everything it touches. And Ezekiel comes to this place.

“It overwhels me, and can’t go on. It’s over my head.”

“I could not pass over.”

(Ezekiel 47:5)

What He’s saying is “I don’t understand this Jesus.”

Because this river represents the Holy Spirit… This represents an ever-increasing glory where you’re gonna dig your feet.

“I want these!”

Those are going to be waters to swim in (Ezekiel 47:5).

“Because I can’t even pass over it now.”

He knew God. He was touched by the Spirit of the Lord. He sees something he can’t understand. He said, “I couldn’t pass over.”

He never did swim in those waters that you and I swim in. He couldn’t see it. It was so overwhelming to Ezekiel. He couldn’t grasp it.

“They were walking through the midst of (low-level) water.”

“He brought me through the waters.” (Ezekiel 47:3,4)

The Lord kept urging him more.

“Come on little deeper, Ezekiel.”

This is going to be more of the church. This is what it is going to be like, the church of the last days.

There would be a people that have this vision to the ankles.

Another generation will have it to the knees.

Another crossed and they’re coming to have it to the loins.

But now Ezekiel come little deeper, probably unto his chin. But he can’t go any further. And he stops.

“I could not pass over the waters for a reason, waters to swim in.”

Could it be that he said to the Lord?

“Lord, what is the sea that you’re showing me?

What is the vast see that I see headily?

I see opening-up to the sea.

I see rivers. It’s miraculously increasing.

Where is the increase coming from?

And it’s just over my head.”

He does not understand or comprehend it. Brother, sister, you think you and I have experienced the presence of Jesus in a glorious way. If you think you had a marvelous revelation of who Jesus is, we have seen nothing in comparison to what He wants to show us, and what He has promised to show, and what He is going to show a people.

There has to be a people coming to this. God said it. There has to be a people that are gonna be waters to swim in. What are these waters?

The Holy Ghost (The Holy Spirit)

And what is the work of the Holy Spirit?

To reveal Jesus

There is coming, what you are seeing, finally ‘people who is such a vast glory.’ Jesus was manifesting himself in such a maze among them. They were swimming in. They were abandoning in this great waters of life. Total abandonment to Jesus.

Lord, remove all the corruption.

Remove all the bitterness,

Lord Jesus,

stubbornness, everything that would block the vision of Jesus.

Take it from us, Lord.

And give us a heart for you.
